MDA is honored to host Dr. Mohammed Al-Hadid, Chairman of Standing Committee of the Red Cross, in Israel.
Dr. Al-Hadid has played a vibrant role in the adoption of the Red Crystal to the movement, as well as contributed significantly to MDA's cooperation with the Jordanian Red Crescent and the PRCS.
The visit, which takes place from last Tuesday, 13.3.2007 and will continue until Thursday, 15.3.2007, is dedicated to the developing of regional cooperation, and in particular the cooperation between MDA and the PRCS.
The visit of Dr. Al-Hadid opened with a meeting with Prof. Eilat Shinar, the manager of the Blood Services division, and Dr. Zvi Feigenberg, the head of the Medical division. Then, he proceeded to a meeting with General Yoseph Mishleb, to discuss the implementation of the MOU.
MDA presented to Dr. al-Hadid its station in Sakhnin and its volunteers, a station that was founded with the aid of MDA's Friends Association. As a part of it, he met with the Baderna Family as well as with the Mayor of Sakhnin, Mr Mohammed Bashir. Then, he visited the Dokha Stadium, a stadium that was built in cooperation with Qatar's National Olympic Committee and the Israeli government headed by Israel's former Prime Minister, Mr. Ariel Sharon.

Dr. Al-Hadid visited "Yad-Vashem", Israel's national holocaust museum in Jerusalem.
He also met with Mr. Cristoph Harnisch, RC head of delegation in Israel.
During his visit, Dr. Al-Hadid met with governance and army representatives, aiming to advance the treatment of humanitarian problems at the PRCS. The visit will come to its end at a special dinner with the members of MDA's Executive Committee this evening.

The Dokha Stadium was built in cooperation between Qatar's National Olympic Committee and the Israeli government, headed by Israel's former Prime Minister, Mr. Ariel Sharon.
