MDA was very pleased to welcome the Danish Red Cross (DRC) delegation on October 10th, 2007. During their visit in MDA, the members of the delegation: Mr. Anders Ladekarl - Head of the International department in DRC, Mr. Bjarke Skaaning Petersen - Head of the DRC delegation in Amman and Mrs. Susanne Thorsboll, Head of Support Team of DRC. With their arrival in MDA, they had an introduction describing MDA's operational aspect in times of routine and emergency. The delegation visited the National Dispatch Center, where they could get first hand impressions as per the Center's role when a multi-casualty event occurs or a terror attack. That special experience was followed by a meeting with the International Federation (IFRC) representative in Israel, Mr. Tore Svenning, who briefed the delegation with the IFRC support to MDA - a new member in the international movement, and the IFRC role and aims in Israel. The visit of the DRC delegation was closed with a meeting with Shira Katiy, from the Red Cross Coordination office in MDA, who described them the emerging humanitarian aspect in MDA, as well as the developed cooperation with national societies all over the world. Mr. Ladekarl has stated that the Danish Red Cross in most interested to develop and extend the cooperation with MDA. He mentioned the DRC deep interest in MDA's Psychological Support Program (PSP) recently presented to them by DM director, Chaim Rafalowski, and the DRC aim to support the program. MDA greets the Danish Red Cross delegation for paying the visit, and looking forward to developing the cooperation with the Danish Red Cross Society.
