Dr. Noam Yifrach, MDA's Chairman of Executive Committee and Mr. Eli Bin, MDA's Director General, are honored to welcome Mr. Markku Niskala, the honorable Secretary General of the International Federation of the Red Cross Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Israel. Mr. Niskala will pay his first official visit in MDA, since MDA was admitted as a full member of the movement in year 2006. The three-days visit will be held between April 6th (the upcoming Sunday) and Tuesday, April 8th.
Mr. Niskala will be accompanied by Mr. Christopher Lamb, who has a continuous work with MDA and who has persistently performed in the process of MDA's admission to the Movement, and Mr. Marwan Gilani, the IFRC Head of the MENA zone (Middle-East and North Africa).
During the visit, Mr. Niskala will conduct meetings with the MDA Directorate, examining areas for cooperation, and will be presented with the dedicated work MDA's employees and volunteers execute, and their endless efforts in saving lives all through the year, in their daily work as well as in times of stress - terror and war.
In addition, Mr. Niskala will conduct tours at MDA's stations and Blood Services, at the National Command and Control - which is the operational center in times of an international operation related to disaster or terror, and meet with officials at the Health and Foreign Affairs Ministries.
