I am sitting and thinking, and trying to find the right words to describe the feelings overcoming me after the course.
Thinking and unable to find the words that will successfully describe and present on this page the pride and expectation, the strength and feelings that are overcoming me.
Volunteering in MDA is a privilege! A privilege that saves lives.
The "Wish Ambulance" provides an opportunity to fulfil a wish for terminal patients and by doing so gives us an additional privilege, the privilege of being part of fulfilling someone's wishes, the privilege of taking part in closing the circle of life, the privilege of allowing a patient to leave this world and rest in peace.
A privilege, which without this special ambulance, would probably need be carried out.
Hearing about the course aroused curiosity in me, a curiosity that came from a first exposure to something until now unknown to me. An aspect which is completely different in meaning from our main field of activity in emergency medicine.
However, together with his, after the course I can certainly say that this project will allow no less adrenaline to flow in my arteries.
Adrenaline from the feelings that arise from seeing the patients going out for a perfect day, the happiest day in the world for them. A day of fulfilling their dreams.
I started the course with a lot of curiosity and finished it full of appreciation, admiration and pride. Pride in the people who instigated the idea, pride in the people who carried out the vision. Pride in the people who give of themselves to carry it out, something that comes from a feeling of carrying out a mission.
In addition to the pride, I am full of expectations. Expectations for carrying out the task of fulfilling someone's wishes. A special privilege in carrying out a heavenly mission.
